      "Ceramic Translations" at Franklin College

      Franklin College will host “Ceramic Translations,â€� from Wednesday, Feb. 8 through Thursday, Feb. 23 in Théâtre Margot in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts. The exhibit will open in the Henderson Conference Room of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. with a lecture by the three artists who collaborated on the exhibit, Emily Loehle, Phil Haralam and Ben Fiess.

      Although all three artists are graduates of the same master of fine arts ceramics program, they translate the material in very unique ways. Each will discuss his or her own personal motivation and approach to working in clay.

      Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

      The opening reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

      Cost: Free.
