Innovation Workshop: Improvisational Comedy as a Path to Creativity

“Start with a YES and see where that takes you.” - Tina Fey   Improvisational comedy is a performance-based art where scenes are created spontaneously. What do improv and effective leadership & teamwork have in common? Comedic improvisers tap into their personal creativity, are adaptable, turn failures into meaningful "offers," and develop deep connections with their teams and audiences. The result is a unique experience that engages and inspires. The skills comedic improvisers use are the same skills required for creative leadership. Unleash your personal creativity! Participants in this month's workshops will walk away with the following: 3 myths that get in the way of unleashing our highest levels of creativity an understanding of the improvisational comedy principle "Yes And" as a tool for increased creativity the opportunity to "rehearse" Yes And using activities leveraged from improvisational comedy a Participant Learning Workbook with key concepts from the workshop 3 take-away exercises that can be used back at the office to promote creative thinking No previous improv experience is required - just an open mind! Includes breakfast & coffee.     Beth St. Clair brings over 15 years experience in strategic business consulting, executive coaching, leadership development and team effectiveness.
