      What is YOUR good life?

      The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services, with support from the Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, is hosting a daylong event specifically for individuals with disabilities and their families/caregivers. The sessions will provide you with information about the LifeCourse Framework as well as how to use the principles and tools in your everyday life. Participants will receive a $25 gift card the day of the event.  Sessions will include information about how the LifeCourse Framework can provide you with the tools necessary to advocate for a meaningful inclusive life in the home, school, and community. Topics will include supported decision making, healthcare financing, and special education. Featured speakers include: Jane St John, Parent, UMKC Institute for Human Development, UCEDD Melody Cooper, Self Advocate, Self Advocate Specialist, Arc of Indiana Jennifer Akers, Parent, Project Director, Family Voices Indiana Lesa Paddack, Parent, IDOE Liaison/RPS Supervisor, INSOURCE A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. Requests for dietary restrictions and/or needed accommodations can be made to Heather Dane by emailing heather.dane@fssa.in.gov Registration is free and limited so don't wait!
