      STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND (1955)

      The Strand presents our Veterans Film Series. We will see films representing WWI, WWII, Korea, Cold War, Vietnam, and the Middle East. STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND is a Cold War drama centered around the readiness required by our nuclear forces. This film features performances by Jimmy Steward (a B-17 pilot in WWII) and June Allyson. The flying sequences feature the Convair B-36. This is considered one of the greatest flying movies of all time and is rarely seen on the big screen. The Strand will show this film in the original VistaVision format. Come an join us to see 6 Turnin' and 4 Burnin'! Pilots: You can fly in to KGEZ and transportation will be provided from your aircraft to the Strand Theatre and back. Veterans and Active Military receive Free Admission at the door.
